Well… we finally got it done. The old aquarium stand is gone, and the new stand, freshly painted, has taken its place. As you might guess, this took a little doing. I’ll walk you through the process in this post.

I mentioned last post that my father and I built a new aquarium stand.  We built it over the last two weeks in December, 2009.  I’m really pleased with the result, so I want to share how we did it.

Taking stock, December 2009

With the year coming to a close soon, it’s time I took stock of the aquarium and its inhabitants. I intend to do this kind of post about twice per year.

Starfish

I found another tenant in the aquarium this weekend.  A very small starfish.  I think he’s about a quarter inch across.  He is blue, with five tiny legs.  He’s right about in the middle of the picture below, on the lip of the large shell.
